On 21 and 22 June 2025, l’Estartit will become a meeting point for hundreds of swimmers and sea lovers during a new edition of the Illes Medes – Estartit Crossing, organised by the Club Nàutic Estartit in collaboration with Radikal Swim. It will be a weekend that brings together sport, nature and excitement, with three event options: the Estartit Xperience, La Clàssica (2K) and La Brava (3.5K).
If you love swimming, challenging yourself, or simply want to enjoy a unique aquatic experience in a setting as special as the Illes Medes, this is your moment.
Saturday 21st: start experiencing the crossing with the Estartit Xperience
The weekend kicks off with an activity designed to get you in the water before the main competition. The Estartit Xperience, taking place on Saturday at 09:15 a.m., is a non-competitive swim that serves as the official training session—perfect for gaining confidence and getting used to real sea conditions.
Throughout Saturday, the village set up at the Club Nàutic Estartit will offer much more:
- 17:00 h – Bib collection at the village area
- 18:00 h – Yoga session to prepare body and mind
- 19:30 h – Informative briefing with all the event details
- And all weekend long: a village open to everyone, with exhibitors, activities, workshops and a great atmosphere.
Taking part in the Estartit Xperience not only helps you prepare better, but also immerses you fully in the complete experience of the Crossing.

Sunday 22nd: day of crossings
Sunday brings the key moment, with two crossings starting from the Illes Medes and finishing at l’Estartit beach. It’s a unique opportunity to swim within a protected area like the Montgrí, Illes Medes and Baix Ter Natural Park.
La Brava – 3.5K
- Boarding: 08:00 h
- Start: 08:45 h
- Estimated arrivals: 09:45 h to 10:45 h
Aimed at experienced swimmers, La Brava offers a challenging yet spectacular route.
La Clàssica – 2.0K

Both events include maritime support, timing control, refreshment stations, and a personalised welcome pack for participants.
Prize-giving, lunch and concert
After the finishes, Sunday continues with a festive day:
- 14:00 h – Prize-giving and lunch in a reserved area with food trucks
